Thawzall Ground Thawer and Concrete Curing Machine

I never would have believed that we would be pouring concrete outside in January, said an engineer for the Postal Service.

Shortly thereafter, he put a thermometer in the gravel base, recorded a temperature of 71° F, and replied 'order the mud.'

New England winters are tough on all of us, but low temperatures and frost is especially tough on contractors. If you have a foundation poured, you can often keep working on a project, but how do you start a new building when you have lots of ground frost? Pulling out your jackhammer is hardly an option.

But now Grants Rental has the solution with the Thawzall™ Heat Machine.

The Thawzall™ is a fully contained unit which uses a boiler system to heat a biodegradable, environmentally safe propylene glycol mixture. This mixture is then circulated through industrial hydronic hose to put the heat where you need it.

We rent the model 2M which will:

Thaw: 2,400 Square Feet

Space hose approximately 2 feet on center. Improve efficiency by covering hose with construction blankets. The 2M will thaw up to 12 inches of soil in 24 hours, depending on soil and weather conditions.

Cure: 6,000 Square Feet

Space hose approximately 2 feet on center. Improve efficiency by covering hose with construction blankets. Also works great for warming concrete forms prior to pour.
