How Many Portable Restrooms Will You Need?

The chart below was designed to inform you of the sanitary guidelines you should apply to your event. Note that more restrooms may be needed than specified if you want to prevent people from waiting in lines to use the bathroom.
Based on the anticipated male/female ratio at the event, you may also want to order additional units. Studies have shown that women take, on average, 40% longer than men to use restroom facilities. Also, if you are serving food and/or beverages (especially liquors), you might also consider ordering additional portable restrooms for your event.
How to use the planning chart:
- Figure out how long your event is expected to last.
- Determine approximately how many people will be attending your event.
- With this information, use the chart below to calculate the minimum number of portable toilets you will need to insure sanitary conditions for your event.
